January Jabberwocky

January 31, 2011

January is coming to an end. I wonder where and how time flies by without us being able to realize it! 2010 had just begun and before I know its 2011 and woh a month too has passed by. So, on this last day of the first month of this new year, let me try and jot down all things new, wonderful and different that I have done or have occured.

  • The first and foremost being my trip to Kerela and Lakshadweep. Now I know it started last year(that sounds really long ago) BUT I came back to Delhi only in the new year! The trip was way, way beyond amazing, awesome, beautiful, mind-boggling and all words nice in the dictionary. From a quiet and quaint hill-station to the bustling city of Kochi, wildlife parks to the picture perfect Lakshadweep islands!
  • The next thing was tackling exams, semesters!! It was only three days after I returned from a beautiful trip that I found myself in the examination hall, ugh dreadful.  Still somehow I managed, just like every other student, especially DU student.
  • Lohri too was a beautiful experience. Sitting in front of the bonfire with my family, munching on popcorns and peanuts. The cold, dark winter night in stark contrast with the warmth and glow of the fire.
  • January is when I got almost all the documents which prove that I am an adult! I got my voter’s ID (but have to get my name corrected, oh and according to it I’m 28 years old!!) and I got my driver’s license, now I have the license to trash my mom’s car 😀
  • I came third in the chess tournament organized by the university and got a nice cash prixe which i intend to blow up on my tattoo
  • Oh and mom cooked chicken after yearsssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Chicken biryani, korma, boiled chicken YUM
